Patico Geometric is a custom display typeface designed for Patico Bar. Its letterforms draw from the geometric lettering traditions of Istanbul's Sephardic Jewish community — the clean, rounded shapes found carved into synagogue facades, printed in old Ladino newspapers, and hand-painted on shopfronts across Balat and Galata. The typeface also carries the structural rhythm of the Galata Bridge: its repeating arcs, even weight distribution, and quiet modularity echo the bridge's procession of identical spans across the Golden Horn. What emerges is a typeface rooted in the cultural intersection where Sephardic heritage meets modern Istanbul — geometric yet warm, contemporary yet layered with history.
