Patico Geometric is the display typeface we drew for Patico Bar, a listening bar in Cihangir, Istanbul. Its letterform outlines take their angularity from the Bosphorus Bridge, the conceptual anchor of the identity: a connection between East and West. Drawing on Sephardic lettering traditions and translating them into a contemporary language, its sharp forms echo the architecture of Cihangir. It sets in capitals and figures, and carries the bar’s logo, display lines, menu headers and social posts.
