Start Today is a type installation at MassArt built from artificial turf on a garden bed. The phrase carries a simple truth — a seed planted today becomes something greater tomorrow. The same applies to taking action, learning, creating. We paired pixelated letterforms with organic material to explore how two opposing forces — the digital and the natural — can coexist in a single form. The rigid grid of the pixel script meets the unpredictability of earth and plant life, each giving the other new meaning.
